Our mission
The KFG Project envisions to empower individuals and their families to reclaim their well-being and resilience post-cancer diagnosis. We provide support to cancer-affected Military, Emergency Responders, Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) patients, their families, and caregivers, to improve their quality of life and treatment journey. We support these brave warriors through professional coaching and rehabilitation resources to equip them with the strength and strategies needed to foster resilience and purpose.
Our founding story
Founded by Bill Phillips after his Stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis, the KFG Project began as a way to share the resilience strategies that helped him navigate treatment. What started as conversations between veterans, first responders, and AYA patients grew into a structured coaching and rehabilitation program. Today, KFG serves families across the Mid-Atlantic with mental health, mentorship, and recovery support during and after a cancer diagnosis.
