Our mission
The KFG Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting adolescents and young adults (AYA), military members, veterans, and emergency responders as they navigate the challenges of cancer, whether as patients or caregivers. We provide professional coaching and integrative, non-clinical support to help individuals rediscover identity, restore purpose, and move forward with strength and clarity through survivorship.
Our founding story
Founded by Bill Phillips after his Stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis, the KFG Project began as a way to share the resilience strategies that helped him navigate treatment. What started as conversations between veterans, first responders, and AYA patients grew into a structured coaching and rehabilitation program. Today, KFG serves families across the Mid-Atlantic with mental health, mentorship, and recovery support during and after a cancer diagnosis.
