Mutual of Omaha was founded on one simple principle: help people in their time of need. We put that principle into action, not only through our products and services, but through our commitment to the community. Omaha has always been our home and for that reason, we are committed to doing what we can to improve the quality of life in the Omaha metropolitan area. We do this through grant-making investments by the Mutual of Omaha Foundation, support for fundraising events and the arts through corporate sponsorships, and mobilizing employees in the community to further the missions of nonprofits.

The Highlights
Donating Time and Talent
Our employees go above and beyond. They are dedicated and passionate about working in the community, and generous in giving to the organizations and causes near and dear to their hearts.
Learn moreEmployee Volunteers
We have the very best employees – just ask any nonprofit where our employees have volunteered. Our corporate volunteer time policy allows employees the opportunity, with manager approval, to volunteer numerous hours throughout the year.
Learn moreBoard Service
Board service is an opportunity for employees to invest their knowledge and skills to support nonprofits in our community. Our goal with board placement is to match the needs of the nonprofit organization with the expertise of our employees. We support corporately placed board members by providing a variety of training opportunities, as well as sponsorships of fundraising events for the nonprofits they serve. Employees engaged in this type of board service are able to help further a nonprofit’s mission, gain a deep understanding of the nonprofit work happening in the Omaha metropolitan area, and apply skills and knowledge in a new way.
Learn moreMaximizing Charitable Giving
Extending our commitment to the community, the Mutual of Omaha Foundation Matching Gift Program allows current corporate employees to double the impact of their contributions to eligible organizations. The Foundation will match approved contributions up to $1,000 per employee, per year.
