Charitable giving is one way we contribute meaningfully in the places where we operate. Our giving underpins long-term relationships with trusted partners who deliver and track beneficial impacts for our signature programs, while also supporting employees and other local community needs. Annually, approximately 14% of our global budget is allocated to employee giving programs, while the remaining 86% is allocated between our signature programs and other local contributions.

The Highlights
Volunteering Programs
At the ConocoPhillips Employee Giving Programs portal, eligible employees and retirees can easily search and sign-up for volunteer opportunities in their local community. This tool also provides participants with an opportunity to create a volunteer profile, log and track volunteer hours and submit a volunteer grant once the required number of volunteer hours have been achieved.
Learn moreMatching Gifts
Our matching gift program encourages eligible employees to become personally involved in the well-being of the communities in which they live and work. Contributions to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations are matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000 for employees annually.
Learn moreLocal community giving
Our donations support education, health and safety, natural resources, the arts, civic and social services and disaster relief.
Learn moreMath Education
Math is key to academic and career success and core to our work. In Houston, home to our headquarters, one in five students does not graduate from high school, and improving math education is a way for us to help equip students in our community for future career success. Our signature program supports math education through student peer-to-peer tutoring, supplemental instruction and professional development for teachers. We collaborate with local professional sports teams, Rice University and the United Way to amplify our message about the importance of math education and to raise awareness about enrichment opportunities for teachers and students. Our goal is to increase the number of Houston students who pass Algebra 1, graduate from high school and are ready to succeed in college.
Learn moreSupporting conservation
For nearly two decades, we have implemented additional, measurable conservation actions through habitat improvement and restoration projects at some of our operated assets and company-owned lands. These efforts include regulatory-required biodiversity offsets, strategic voluntary biodiversity offsets and compensatory wetland mitigation associated with operated assets in Alaska, Australia and Canada. On company-owned lands in the Permian Basin and the Louisiana Coastal Wetlands, we have implemented voluntary conservation projects to enhance, benefit, improve or restore habitats and ecosystems.
